Ivy plans a birthday party for Saturday. She wants to invite ten friends.
आइवी शनिवार के लिए एक बर्थडे पार्टी की योजना बना रही है। वह अपने दस दोस्तों को बुलाना चाहती है।
She writes a message about the party. She writes the day, the time, and the address.
वह पार्टी के बारे में एक मैसेज लिखती है। वह उसमें दिन, समय और पता लिखती है।
Ivy sends the message to all her friends. She feels good about her plan.
आइवी वह मैसेज अपने सभी दोस्तों को भेज देती है। उसे अपनी योजना पर अच्छा लग रहा है।
Her friend Jasper reads the message. He looks at his own calendar.
उसका दोस्त जैस्पर मैसेज पढ़ता है। वह अपना कैलेंडर देखता है।
"Wait," Jasper texts back. "You wrote Saturday, June tenth. June tenth is a Sunday."
"रुको," जैस्पर जवाब में लिखता है। "तुमने शनिवार, 10 जून लिखा है। 10 जून तो रविवार है।"
Ivy checks her calendar. Jasper is right. She sees her mistake.
आइवी अपना कैलेंडर देखती है। जैस्पर सही है। उसे अपनी ग़लती दिख जाती है।
"Oh no," Ivy says. "I made a mistake. The party is on Sunday, not Saturday."
"अरे नहीं," आइवी कहती है। "मुझसे ग़लती हो गई। पार्टी रविवार को है, शनिवार को नहीं।"
She quickly writes a new message. "Sorry, everyone! My party is on Sunday, June tenth."
वह जल्दी से एक नया मैसेज लिखती है। "सॉरी, सब लोग! मेरी पार्टी रविवार, 10 जून को है।"
"It is not on Saturday," she adds. She reads the message twice this time.
"यह शनिवार को नहीं है," वह आगे जोड़ती है। इस बार वह मैसेज को दो बार पढ़ती है।
Ivy sends the new message to all her friends. She waits for their replies.
आइवी नया मैसेज अपने सभी दोस्तों को भेज देती है। वह उनके जवाबों का इंतज़ार करती है।
One by one, her friends write back. They all say the new date is fine.
एक-एक करके उसके दोस्त जवाब देते हैं। सब कहते हैं कि नई तारीख़ ठीक है।
Jasper writes back too. "Thanks for telling me," he says. "See you on Sunday!"
जैस्पर भी जवाब देता है। "बताने के लिए शुक्रिया," वह कहता है। "रविवार को मिलते हैं!"
Ivy smiles and puts her phone down.
आइवी मुस्कुराती है और अपना फ़ोन नीचे रख देती है।
"See you then," she writes back.
"तब मिलते हैं," वह जवाब में लिखती है।
