The Card With No Name

Miles finds an unsigned birthday card in his mailbox and works out it was meant for a boy down the street.
Miles checked the mailbox after school on Friday. Inside was a colorful envelope with no name on it.
He opened it carefully. It was a birthday card that said, "Happy Birthday, Alex! Hope your day is great."
Miles did not know anyone named Alex. His family did not know an Alex either.
He showed the card to his mom. "This isn't for us," she said. "Maybe the mail carrier made a mistake."
Miles looked at the house numbers on the street. His house was number twenty-three.
He noticed something. The house at number thirty-two looked almost the same from far away.
"Maybe it's for the house down the street," Miles said. "The numbers look similar."
He walked down to number thirty-two with the card. A boy about his age opened the door.
"Are you Alex?" Miles asked. "I think your birthday card came to my house by mistake."
"That's me!" the boy said with a big smile. "I looked for it all week!"
Miles handed him the card. "Happy birthday," he said.
Alex thanked him. The two boys talked for a few minutes on the porch.
